John H. Williams produced Shrek and Shrek 2, and executive produced Shrek the Third and Shrek Forever After, building one of animation’s most successful franchises with DreamWorks — later co-producing its spin-off, Puss in Boots, and now executive producing Shrek 5, the original cast’s return to Far Far Away.
Together the five released films have grossed well over $3 billion worldwide and earned the inaugural Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, with Shrek 5 set for theatrical release in 2027.
